We visited Bodmin to use as a base for dropping a friends ashes. Just wanted to say what lovely airfield with friendly, helpful people in a beautiful part of the world. The runways are a little short for some and please allow for the humped runways. There are the usual noise sensitive areas to avoid; see http://www.cornwallflyingclub.com/

We enjoyed seeing the Aeronca's fly-in and flying.

The stealth hangers and apron (below airfield level in a hollow) are a great idea for shelter and minimising visual impact.

Thanks again to the people at Bodmin, some more good guys in aviation.

PS Bumped into Rich V there; people will start talking!!

The last time I visited was for the total eclipse in 99 - I haven't used the tent since. As you say, a nice friendly field with some interesting topography.

Popped in today for a visit to the Eden Project - coincidental with 100 years of women in aviation. Will post the fuel price later, but a very friendly welcome from everyone.
