I have been trying to get a duplicate key cut for the RV

The local locksmith hasn't got a blank, ther chap at Timpsons hasn't a blank and his bible doesn't have anything close enough for him to customise.

Is there a specialist aviation supplier anywhere? And yes, I know by adding the word 'aviation' the p[rice has just tripled.

Try CI Caravans (No pun intended)

Their keys (allegedly) fit the odd blanks of Cessnas and Pipers so you may be lucky....................

When I was looking for keys for each group member for our aircraft tug/golf buggy, even the factory/main supplier in Poland (or UK distributor) couldn't help.

Ended up getting them from a golf cart supplier in Sugar Grove, Illinois...............

Hopefully you won't have any issue, but I had a real hard time a few years ago trying to get somewhere to cut a key on a blank that I provided. Most places (including Timpsons) refused to do it unless it was their own blank.

Must give a thumbs up to at least one timpsons chap who went the extra mile to find a blank suitable. He cut it sale or return and it works fine.

That seems to be a theme with them, I've had great service from a couple of branches when in need of something unusual.

I do

They couldn't.

At least not through the website search

However in one of those rare bits of serendipity I was searching the office for something else and came cross a key that looked very similar and turned out to be the spare that must have come with the aircraft along with the two keys we use day to day.

Another vote for Timpson’s. They’ve always managed to find blanks to fit a succession of aircraft. Small local branches seem to be better than ones at major railway stations etc.
