In keeping with the thread title of 'help and advice,' I would like to advise members that a memorial flypast of a Hurricane and Spitfire will take place over Ditchling (Sussex) as part of Dame Vera Lynn's funeral service on Friday of this week.
The flypast is timed for midday over Ditchling as the cortege is en-route to the funeral service.
We've only lived in this area for a couple of years but the warmth and affection for the lady is overwhelming. Neither myself or Mrs Avtur have any known/ tangible connection with WW2 but you can't help but feel the connection locally.
We'll certainly be watching and thinking from just a couple of miles away.
