Primarily for general aviation discussion, but other aviation topics are also welcome.

This one must have had some spectacular views

I bet they did - how'd you satisfy the glide clear requirements though

If you meant G-CSBM, the pilot has posted her route on the UK GA Facebook group.

So the views were spectacular - while I'm confident glide clear was fine for the majority of the route, I admit it is questionable for the segment through the Heathrow class D. I had been expecting an Ascot-Burnham clearance, but was offered the route I took, I realised once there it was questionable, but by the point that realisation set in, it was safest to continue - if offered again I would refuse it. Ultimately one of the classic cases of not thinking things through in advance and not having the time / mental capacity to think it through during the flight.

A more thorough writeup is on my blog at https://www.alexbrett.net/blog/2020/05/ ... -transits/ if anybody wants more information...

I enjoyed that write-up, thanks a lot. (And the pictures, obviously! :thumleft: )

I find it really interesting, and very helpful, to read about others' decision-making processes and self-debriefs.
