As of Tuesday 24th March 2020, the LAA offices will be closed – at a minimum for the Government-specified three weeks. We will make any subsequent decision to reopen the office based on NHS England advice.

The LAA HQ staff will continue to deal with incoming mail and correspondence as far as is possible by working from home. We have contingency plans in place to handle postal correspondence and e-mails. We anticipate that we’ll be able to maintain our service to members in areas such as Permit Renewals. Some activities such as NPPL licensing and Permit First Issues requiring CAA input, may be delayed.

PLEASE DO NOT ATTEMPT TO TELEPHONE LAA HQ.
Please contact the LAA by e-mail at office@laa.uk.com or engineering@laa.uk.com

Further information will be made available via the LAA website at www.lightaircraftassociation.co.uk, on the LAA Facebook page and here, on the Flyer forum.

Thank you for bearing with us and please, stay safe.

Best regards

Are there any plans to help owners who have permit renewals in the next three plus weeks? With airfields closed, inspectors unable to travel or isolating (I guess inspections aren’t key work), a lot of aircraft will end up out of permit due to circumstances out of the owners’ control.
