I am unsure whether (m)any UK ultralights venture into France, but if they do, heads up and be aware that new regulations came into force on September 2 forbidding use of ultralights (French: ULM) at airfields at which IFR arrivals and departures take place. There is an exemption for suitably qualified pilots. This has to be documented by a French instructor. How this will work for foreign visitors, I know not.
Further information on the French FFPLUM website.
