May 15th – Flying around the world in a homebuilt aircraft:
Circumnavigation of the Earth is a complex and risky activity, but completing it in an aircraft that was built in a garden shed and weighs less than half a family car takes extreme challenge to a whole new level.
Group Captain Mark Manwaring, a Royal Air Force fast-jet navigator, will talk about his 2019 attempt to break the UK and World Speed Records for circumnavigation of the Earth in his highly-modified Van’s RV-7.
This is one event not to miss!
