ISTR the (commercially fairly successful, including getting USAF orders against fierce antiBritish lobbying in Congress) Skyvan family was started as an apprentice project in the hangar where the (technically impressive but commercially unsuccessful) Belfasts were being built .. :)

Royal Aeronautical Society Yeovil, Thursday 19th September. Full lecture concentrating on flight testing, double act with our chief test pilot.
