Duxford AvTech is a 45,000 sqm development on land adjacent to the existing IWM site. It will be an aviation ‘innovation cluster’ focusing on low and zero carbon advanced air mobility (AAM) technologies.
It appears to be 'adjacent' in a way that means 'built on top of' the existing IWM (Land Warfare Hall) site.

Isn't the LWH being demolished to make way for this, or have I dreamt that?

Task your average graphics guy with positioning an aircraft on the ground and he'll grab a reference from any handy, and probably free, source. I guess he/she thought the Vulcan looked the most modern.

I really must look out the magazine cover promoting the Falaise Gap slaughter of the Wehrmacht in '44.

I suspect that, in reality, not much of the damage was done by A10s.

Yes, the Land Warfare building is to be demolished. It had an earth floor, and was not suitable for storing valuable items. Many have already been dispersed around other exhibits to show them in a more relevant context.

FLIMAX is already based at Duxford and we’ve been working with G&C and IWM for several years on the design of AvTech. They want to encourage everyone involved in the supply chain to move in, to create a critical mass for developing the new generation of GA aircraft.

AvTech will also extend Duxford’s STEM work from historical aircraft to the next generation.

I introduced AvTech at the launch to explain its importance to UK industry.
