By Marvel25
Hey guys, I hope you'll help me make a decision about my career. I actually work as an air fitter, in job I doing these thing:

1) positioning of parts according to the instructions and the specification drawing
2) drilling, reaming and riveting using pneumatic tools
3) assembly work on aviation components
4) montage aircraft elements

Do you think this job have a future? I like this but I wonder if one day the robot will replace me and I'll lose a job. Sorry for my english grammar, I hope you will understand what I mean. What is the name of this job in your country?

Aircraft fitter, aircraft fabricator or aircraft assembler (in UK and USA).
I am sure the skills you learn will always be required/sought after irrespective of whether robots are eventually used in the assembly process.
