I am concerned the requirements for FI's to be part of a training organisation is going to harm the livelihood of many perfectly good freelance FI's who are not part of an official FTOl. If these FI's decide to change career as a result, there will be less choice for the consumer plus costs are bound to go up as a result of the paperwork the FTOs have to maintain.

Not sure I have all the facts here but thought I would get it on the list for someone to correct or expand upon.

I couldn't agree more. Lets not forget there is NO ICAO requirement for any of this rt/ATO/FTO approvals in the first place.

The whole lot should be scrapped.
