Hi all, I'm struggling to find any info on the current and planned state of the Self Declaration process for pilot medical fitness as its due to end March 31st 2021 in 2 ish weeks!
The new medicals procedure being developed by the CAA via their portal for Class 1/2 etc meds looks like it won't be up and running until April. I've completed that process already as it takes 10 days to get approved but the CAA have not yet implemented the new Medicals app so there may be a gap in terms of what can be done to either self declare or get a new class 2 sorted out.
For completeness; I have a PPL A/H, my Class PPL expired mid feb 21 - so I self declared to stay 'airworthy'. there is a section on my class 2 that says I have another year of medical as NPPL but im not sure this is relevant or applicable to my PPL A (I fly a Permit fixed wing and certified rotary).
Can anyone in the know throw any light on this matter?
