Hey guys,

I’m hoping that in January I can take an initial class 1 medical to see if it’s possible for me to go do a commercial license. All of the medical examiners have services for an easa class 1. Do we know anything about class 1 medicals post 31st December? I assume they won’t change much and they’ll just make it a caa instead of an easa medical but I just wanted to double check before throwing down £600+ on it.

Although just about any AME can renew a Class 1 medical, for initial issue you need to go to one of a few centres.
Details here: https://www.caa.co.uk/Commercial-indust ... rtificate/

If you are staying in the UK and planning on UK licences then it will make no difference before or after 31st December.
If you aren't - it will get complicated!
