I thought extension was fine - it was "on-condition" that was private only for CofA machines?
I'm sure that's what you meant anyway. Question has to be based on risk. I struggle to see why the risk should be any greater for CofA machines, unless there is very solid numbers saying the risk is higher on-condition.
Therefore seems perfectly sensible.
The issue is that all of EASA will have to agree with you.
