ePaperwork submitted via the online form on the 15th, licence arrived via FedEx today! Shockingly quick, just 8 working days!

I notice the CAA now say on their website they guarantee anyone who submitted on or before the 22nd of March that, assuming there are no queries, they'll turn your application round before the 8th.

One question regarding the whole FRTOL thing... I only received two bits of paper, one my LAPL and one my NPPL. On both, in Section XII 'Flight Radiotelephony Operator's Privileges' it states "The holder of this licence has demonstrated competence to operate R/T equipment on board aircraft in English", and under Section XIII 'Remarks' it states "Language proficiency English level 6; Valid for life".

Does this replace my old FRTOL licence, which expires in about 4 years time? Or do I still need that licence, and need to get it revalidated when it expires?
