Hi, I've just come from my LAPL medical, I went down this route as the LAPL suited my needs and I thought my GP would be nice and straight forward, boy was I wrong. Can anyone recommend a straight forward and friendly AME?, I am based near Newbury in Berkshire but am happy to travel, I have the official list of AME's but a recommendation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If Staverton's not too far, I can recommend:

Gaffer (Ian Ramsay) is an experienced PPL, long-time member of my (former) syndicate. Has now given up all his former (NHS GP) work to do only professional medicals, mostly aeronautical.

fly or drive in! But I guess if you 'fail' you can't fly out ..
