Do PPL training hours count towards NPPL(M)

Currently halfway through a PPL. Grown weary with the airfield location, the fleet of aircraft among other things.
Is there any way my hours and exams can count toward training for an NPPL(m) in an Ikarus C42 for example or is it a case of starting from scratch?
