I've been searching for information about this everywhere and I'm afraid it's still clear as mud. Can anyone tell me what I need to do when buying and re-registering and aircraft that has a permanent EASA permit? I heard that there is a pretty hefty fee to change details, payable to CAA or EASA or ,,, but I can't find any further information.

Thanks.

Assuming you're talking about an aircraft on the UK register, have a look here:

https://www.caa.co.uk/Aircraft-register ... -aircraft/

Registration fees at end of form CA1:

http://publicapps.caa.co.uk/modalapplic ... il&id=1281

More info on EASA PtF issue and renewal fees:

https://www.caa.co.uk/Commercial-indust ... it-to-Fly/

Note that the LAA also administer the continued airworthiness for a number of aeroplanes with EASA PtF.
