I was wondering if the hour and a half I did in New York with a Swiss instructor, logged and signed off as P/UT, can be counted as the instructional hour for my LAPL 24 month validation, or does it have to be a UK/ EASA instructor?

Yes Irv, I did wonder about that, but he was a young guy and I think had done full FAA CPL/IR/CFI in the US, but worth checking

ok, i thought you meant he was an easa instructor and the question was about the flight being in the US (n reg, etc). How do you know he was Swiss, was he exceptionally clean?
