The Netherlands authorities have this week updated their regulation of ELTs and PLBs via AIC-B 01/2017 (replacing AIC-B 04/2016), to replace National Law with EU Regulation No 965/2012 and its amendments which specifically allows the carriage of PLB’s in place of ELT’s.

They have maintained strict wording in relation to coding and registration of ELTs for home based aircraft however for visitors this seems like a sensible move and good news at last.
