Went there last weekend purely to 'pick off' the last larger airport in Wales I haven't yet been to.

What a nice place!

Very friendly reception, informal but informative radio service, clean, tidy and well maintained, with good food and lots of locals just there for a lunch.

Bonus seeing three Yaks playing formation flying and aeros.

I loved H'west airfield before I ever started flying and since then it's ended up my most frequent destination.

Lovely spot. Good food. Happy people. Interesting aeroplanes.
