I fancied a shortish outing from Deanland base yesterday and thought I should try somewhere new. Hey, wasn't there a voucher for Andrewsfield in Flyer? Never been there, that'll do. Oh hold on, it's fiercely guarded by fire breathing dragons from their Stansted lair, is this a good idea?
A quick read told how to avoid the dragons so off we went. 35 minutes at <2500ft to avoid the TMA, several airfields and the Thames bridge to see close to the route and there we were.
What a super little place! Excellent strip, friendly people, good little clubhouse and cafe that even had two sorts of home made cake (apparently that's very important to some on here!)
Didn't even hear the dragons, never mind see them.
A nice gentle visit for a summer day.

Concur on all points after visit today - One exception, empty tables had reserved on them inside the cafe so self and grandson had to sit outside in the wind to eat our cooked breakfast. Apparently only members allowed on tables and the only other table inside reserved for instructors !
But lovely staff and nice runway and lots of activity.
