Where have you been? What have you seen?

Just returned from a very special trip to the Croatian islands. The best news is that Croatia joined Schengen on 1 January and I can happily confirm that flights to and from Schengen countries no longer need to clear in or out through customs and immigration. It is now possible to arrive from a Schengen country into ANY airstrip in Croatia and fly out of the same to ANY airstrip in Schengen! This enabled us to make what may actually have been the first international flight out of Hvar airstrip across to Italy. We landed and stayed all too briefly on the islands of Losinj (LDLO), Brac (LDSB) and Hvar (LDSH). Each island has its quirks and special points of interest. ATC is very helpful and professional and the inter island flights are reminiscent of the Hebrides. Avgas available at Losinj and Brac. The latter are not exactly cheap to visit but that is balanced by Hvar, which is free. I have posted more info on SD and would like to extend a special thanks to Peter-Hairyplane Hvar Pilot for tons of helpful info.
