Where have you been? What have you seen?

Had a great trip over to Snaith this afternoon. I needed to brush up my RT skills and a trip to photograph my friend's church in the metropolis that is Snaith in the East Riding seemed to be a perfect opportunity, its being under Doncaster airspace! My fellow pilot friend took the pics.

So really good learning experience, and spurred me on to do more of it...I need to get to some Yorkshire airfields for landaways I think now.

A shout out to the Doncaster Air Traffickers though; they were superb, really friendly and helpful and gave me a radar service when in their airspace, and allowed me to orbit Snaith at 1,500ft, despite them thinking I must be weird|!

So if there are any "Donny" ATC folk on here, thankyou! :D

They didn’t actually allow you to do anything over Snaith as you were in class G!

But they are a good bunch and usually very amenable to a crossing.

Doncaster has minimal commercial traffic and does not justify its huge airspace grab: they should be amenable to zone crossings!
