I am back in Chiang Mai after practising my art in Canada.
I can’t fly here in Thailand any more.

England will be difficult for a while.

Because I applied for the night rating to be attached to my NPPL and EASA PPL I have to fill in another form, add another £45, for the CAA to verify my licence with Transport Canada.
I received this notification on the day I was signing off a night rating for my student!
I can get a reduced course for the night rating in Britain based on my experience in Canada.
I can also lose all monies paid so far in fees to renew my British PPL and obtain the EASA one. There’s a deadline for me to submit the form and fee.

So I plan to keep what skills I have by flying in Canada.

This trip I had several objectives, and I managed to achieve most of them:

1. Complete tailwheel and seaplane training in a Volmer...
Student achieved the Seaplane rating, I trained him and signed him off.
2. Get the above student’s girlfriend through her First Solo in a Diamond DA20-C1.
This was achieved.
3. Finish training James for his night rating in a tailwheel Cessna 150.
Completed.
4. Fly the Chipmunk, completed :D
5. Check a couple out in their Bellanca 14-19 Cruisemaster.
Completed.

I flew a lot! There’s a shortage of instructors in Canada, but instructors can never make enough to live in Vancouver.
