Not the most exciting trip but a good way to kick the season off. Fish and chips on Cromer pier and a mosey along the seafront and the town.
Friendly welcome at the Northreps strip and not denied to a GA type. The 384m short dry grass runway was more than adequate and the model flier desisted while we landed on 33.
A 3 mile mostly flat and peasant cycle ride into the town and the front after tracking around from the wash at 600ft off the beach. No sight of seals. Lost radio contact with Marham at some point, hopefully they saw the change of squark back to 7000.
Departed to fly over the Norfolk Broads under the tab of Tumble Weed (no sound or sight of any traffic and someone at Ludham had permission to do aeros on the flight path to 3500 ft.
The yanks were friendly at Lakenheath and gave permission through the MATZ before I had even asked for it and that was with a 'heavy' coming within a couple of miles of me at similar altitude. Routed back to Dunstable clocking Wimpole Hall and Wrest House on the way.
