Hello London Flying Club!

Thank you to everyone who came to the Institute of Directors. Marcus, Paul and Matt from PlaneSpoken were excellent, speaking about the Bucket Theory, understanding that errors will happen, and the creation of a ‘just culture’, where decisions are reviewed without the threat of punishment.

We have another great event lined up on 13 November. This time with two of the stars from the Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, otherwise known as the Red Arrows – Red 5 and Red 6.

The Red Arrows don’t need an introduction. Suffice to say they are the UK’s highest trained and most recognized aerobatic display team. The nine RAF Hawk jet aircraft fly feet apart, at each other, around each other. It’s impressive stuff. If you’ve never seen them in action have a look here

And they’ve just come off an impressive season celebrating the RAF’s 100 year history, the pinnacle of which was as the capstone to the 100 year fly-past over central London.

The event is supported by Elixirr: The Challenger Consultancy https://www.elixirr.com/. Whether it’s helping large corporate clients respond to disruption by building on their existing business, helping them build a brand new business within their existing one, or building a totally separate entity, building businesses https://www.elixirr.com/case-study/thomas-cook-money/ is what Elixirr do best.

Date: 13 November
Time: 19:00 for drinks, 19:30 for presentation
Venue: Elixirr Consultancy, 100 Cheapside, London, EC2V 6DT
RSVP: Please reserve tickets here https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-red-arrows-stories-from-a-few-feet-apart-tickets-51399917537. Please have everyone in your party book their own ticket. Will help with numbers and security at reception. Thank you for your donations. (Link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-red-arrows-stories-from-a-few-feet-apart-tickets-51399917537)

Just seconding what a great evening this was.
Courteously hosted by Elixirr and with the usual excellently organisation by Philippe.
And of course a very entertaining and interesting presentation of the Red Arrows by Red None - Flight Lieutenant Dan Lowes.

I was slightly shocked to realise that it was all of a sudden 0030 when I glanced at the watch of one of the chaps I was talking to. I proceeded to make my excuses but there were till a dozen or so people left. Goes to show what happens when you put pilots together in a room :^)
