We are holding a cake sale for the benefit of Motor Neurone Disease Association at Leicester EGBG on Sat 3 Feb from 10:00.

All landing fees and revenues from cake sales will be passed to the charity.

Everyone welcome (and bring a cake if you can bake!)

Because the weather doesn't look so good for Saturday, we're extending the invitation to include Sunday 4th Feb for fly-in visitors...landing fees all weekend will be donated to the Motor Neurone Disease Association, MNDA in memory of Steve Cliff

I should add that Steve personally raised £850,000 for MND (and more is coming) since he was diagnosed just a few years ago.

Yesterday, 31st January 2018 was his funeral. It was a good day.

£810 was raised for MNDA. Particular thanks are due to @Pete L and more importantly Viv who delivered cake from Turweston by air (it all went, Viv! I had a large slice and it was delicious!)

Thanks also to @mick w for purchasing the "Spitfire cake" (see photo) which was made by our Admin chief and her husband, who is our CFI . I understand the cake didn't last long once it got back to Temple Bruer! CFI said it took a lot of licking to get the runway that smooth!

@MichaelP spend both days here too!

Marie , the wife of Peter Johnson , who also sadly died of this terrible disease , graciously receiving THE Cake .

We definitely owe Gary at Turweston a cake - forgot to chip in for an extra one at Leicester - after he emptied the hangar in an arctic blast to get our aircraft out.

Michael definitely wins the prize for longest distance to a fly-in.

This morning I took the far travelled cakes into the office where they were consumed by the staff...
I had a bit too.

They arrived in good condition.

More than £1000 raised so far. There were many financial donations made after the event, from people unable to be there during that weekend
