What are you planning? Where shall we go?

Note: on the same day as the Project Propeller 'reprise', but other flyins also very welcome, as ever

"Discovered in a Chippenham scrapyard in 1996, the museum acquired a badly corroded and damaged cockpit section of a Mk1 Typhoon. It was stored with minimal activity in restoration until the Museum was built then readdressed as a project. Generous sponsorship from local businesses and Indic allowed for restoration by a team of dedicated volunteers, leading to commencement of the rebuild, with restored parts, in August 2014.

Approx 7,000 man hours have been put into the restoration by JAM Engineering Dept volunteers.

Joining us on the day will be 96-year old Peggy Fisher, who worked on Typhoons at GAC during the war. She'll fit the final rivet to the engine bulkhead, a task she last performed in 1944."
