The Concorde remains today the most recognizable airplane, and for 27 years brought people together faster than ever before or since. They flew on the edge of space, traveling faster than a bullet, making the world a smaller place. Capt Bannister will share stories from this era and give us insights into the legacy that the Concorde has left.

As with previous events, we will have drinks and nibbles.

Details:

Date: 12 September

Time: 18:30, Discussion starts at 19:00

Venue: Mayfair. We have a change of venue that is still to be confirmed. It promises to be a fantastic backdrop for the event.

Registration: Please register here. (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/discussion-with-chief-pilot-of-bas-concorde-programme-tickets-36774841541)

More details here: http://www.londonflyingclub.com/

Finally, please share this with aviators in your networks, on the forums and at your local aeroclubs. The more the merrier!

I look forward to seeing everyone in a few weeks’ time.

All the best,

Philippe

Dear All,

Good news! We have found a venue! Updated details below and on our website. The venue is sponsored by the great folks at Elite London.

The venue: Buddha-Bar, 145 Knightsbridge, SW1X 7PA. Map here.

Capt. Bannister assures me he has been working on his talking points diligently. Should be a fascinating discussion about the amazing Concorde program.

I look forward to seeing you on the 12th.

Best,

Philippe

It was the expected very interesting talk from Mike Bannister on the history, the operation, the accident and the finish of the Concorde programme. It was well attended. Good to catch up with Graham B and Pilot Pete and grab that curry afterwards.
