Grumpy One wrote:Expecting, any minute now, your teasing reports that the weather has been absolutely lovely all day ... and that the burgers were lovely and and and the wine was flowing. :(

It's what I would have done anyway :D

Grumpy One, the burgers and sausages were lovely and the wine and beer flowed well all evening. The weather this evening in Bordeaux was gorgeous blue skies. We routed down via Le Mans (motor museum / customs stop) and the heavens opened with active TS/CB shortly after we arrived. We had to fly around just one active CB on the otherwise straight line route south from Le Mans to Saucats in largely blue skies. The CB/TS were isolated all the way and easily missed. We did have the benefit of an on-board weather radar but it was quite doable without  :D.

The weather this morning is of course stunning.

Few photos from the weekend :

Arrivals on Friday. Nine out of the planned 20 aircraft made it, mainly due to dodgy weather in northern France on the Friday.

:D :D Thanks James for a fantastic weekend. For anyone that hasn't attended in the past, I highly recommend it.
We flew back in LY to the south and east of Paris at FL55 in glorious the blue skies above the cloud layers then dropped down to avoid the class A before stopping at St Omer due weather. We stayed overnight in a local Ibis and are currently in the clubhouse weather watching.
Great to meet old faces and new.... Looking forward to the next one :D
