Received this invitation from ATC yesterday:

Dear Aviation Friends,

Hawarden Air Traffic Control is holding a Charity Fly-In in aid of BBC Children in Need at Hawarden Airport on Friday 18th November 2016 and we need your support!

Airbus have kindly agreed that all landing fees will be FREE on the day to anybody who lands and makes a donation to this worthwhile cause.

Serco Air Traffic Services staff and other airport staff will have the opportunity to sponsor the total number of landings on the day......

.....so the more landings we get the more money we'll raise! !

Unfortunately we will not be able to accept pledges from those unable to land on the day and encourage all visiting training aircraft to make time to land to support this cause.

We kindly request that all donations are made in cash and the minimum recommended donation is at least 50% of charges accrued on the day.

Serco ATS staff will be collecting donations on the day on Apron November supported by Aviation Park Group.

This is a strictly PPR airfield, so you must book-in in advance.

Normal airport safe operating restrictions apply. Also, note that Hawarden's normal aircraft type/pilot experience restrictions will still apply, so check out your flight guides/AIP - ATC are very helpful and want to make the event a success, so if you need any additional information or have any questions at all with regards to this event then please do not hesitate to contact them on 01244 522012.
