We are planning a mass gathering of both Cessna 150 and 152 models at Rougham airfield Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th May 2017. Most GA pilots will have experience on the type either training or renting one post PPL.
Similar to our all comers fly in last May, we will have on site catering, including hog roast with other attractions for both road and visitors by air. The grade 2 listed WW2 control tower will be open both days.
We plan to have one of the major UK flight shops exhibiting and selling their products and essential flight accessories.
A cash prize to the equivalent of 30 gallons of avgas at the days rate, will be presented to one lucky winner on both days, also a prize for the furthest flight to the gathering in a Cessna 150/152
There will be an informal “Concours d’ elegance” judged by visitors with a prize for the best presented and the oldest aircraft visiting.
The fly in provides students and instructors with a great opportunity for a cross country navigation exercise and land away.
Our aim is to see a minimum of 150 to 152 examples of the type lined up in front of the resident flight school Skyward Flight Training. In addition to the “themed aircraft" all GA types are most welcome.
More details to follow. In the meantime please add to your diary.
