Where are people thinking of staying in La Rochelle on Thursday? It'll be my first visit so any advice appreciated.

We are booked into ibis La Rochelle Centre Historic Thursday and ibis Villenave d' Ornon Fri and Sat.
Paying the flexible rate means that cancellation up until 6pm on the day is possible if problems arise enroute.

Ibis Centre Historique looks just the job for Thursday night. I'll probably book the Ibis budget in Villenave d'Ornon again for the Friday and Saturday and Sunday nights in Bordeaux .

Edit to add:- Both hotels now booked and on the flexible rate and updated to add the Sunday night as don't wan to miss the restaurant fly-in at Auch :pig:

Just giving this thread a bump to re-assure all potential participants that the event is very much still on.

Fatherhood has rather reduced the time available to devote to forums etc.

I have a meeting with the airfield management to finalise a few details and will send out the usual briefing document on Tuesday.
