My initial thought was that I assume the designers haven’t seen the state of the U.K. road network these days or driven in and out of a car park with a ramp.

It will be interesting to see the difference between the concept and whatever may make it into production. But Jaguar has been failing slowly for decades, this could potentially tip them over the edge and into nothing but the history books.

I don't think any two-seaters are in the launch mix.

I oft told clients that the definition of idiocy was doing the same thing and expecting the end result to be different.

I have a feeling that this last throw of the dice is worth a punt.

And the suggested start price is very low. Similar to the E-Type at launch.

Hmm obviously it's only a never to be built concept but it just reminds me of those mid 90's video racing games where you get to choose your bits but without the guiding hand of a talented car designer. Has Coventry Poly given up turning them out?

Rich arabs will love abandoning them in dusty multistory airport car parks.

Although this has garnered masses more attention than it deserves (so as an adman I can only applaud that if grudgingly!) the comparison between this monster and the gorgeous E-Type doesn’t work. That was simply stunning for its day.

Grace. Space. Pace.

This?

Brutish. Garish. Vanish (please)

It wouldn't get in, out, up or down any of the multi-storeys I've ever been in.

What will be interesting short term is to see what the motoring magazines do by way of merging the photographs of the camouflaged mule four-seater with the design behind this concept.

And eventually, to see how close they get.

AndyR wrote: I might have missed it amongst the other conversations but what is the actual v quoted range for your iPace?

In return, I missed this.

An unreliable answer as I have only once charged the battery to 100% and this during the latest chilly spell has been 220-230 (predicted) against a quoted WLTP of 290.

How this would translate given a 200 mile trip I have no idea. The downside on motorways is drag, and so a non-stop, M-Road, 200 miles 'might' be unachievable until the summer?

On mine, I find in winter I get better range on a long trip. Presumably as once you're going the cabin is warm, the battery warms up, etc .... and it gets closer to spring/autumn operating characteristics. When I'm doing my normal 30 mile/4 trips per day, the guessometer will drop down to 200ish in the cold, but will achieve close to 220 - 230 on a long run (compared to 250 in the summer).

As far as the Type 00 concept colours are concerned, I think I spotted @Rob P V2.0 out and about in his equally understated I-PACE earlier…
