I have recently lost the higher frequencies--ie some bird song.
No problem with normal conversation/listening to bbc type broadcasts.
Most transmissions are fine when clear--have a problem with someone who mumbles.
My headsets are fairly old so a check up is being booked for them.
Wonder if anyone out there has similar situatioon.
If so do you wear them with standard headsets or with noise reduction sets.
Have you found they help or hinder with either type of headset.

I have worn hearing aids since I was a nipper. I have tried most setups involving BT, cables. Amps and gawd knows what else. I always come back to ANR and cranking up the radio volume as the above two posters have. It was also a push to getting my own aircraft as I can replace cranky antiquated radios (8.33 helped with getting rid of many). I still struggle more than most.
Still looking for the perfect solution.
My hearing loss is the opposite of most age related ones. I have lost the low frequencies.

Hi Ian--you have my sympathy--sounds similar to myself--only at other end of scale.
One thing i"d mention-we have a TRIG radio with a play button-which repeats the the last transmission--very useful if someone in the aircraft speaks or you"re not sure if message intended for you.
