Am I alone in thinking that manufacturers have shrunk the size of their buttonholes ? Shirts in particular present the utmost in convoluted twisting and turning until after some considerable time buttons make their entry, but then, only after inserting the plastic body of a Bic or other type ball point pen into the buttonhole and giving it a shove and a twist thus opening it further.
Trousers are by far the worst. Never again will I be persuaded to wear those with a buttoned fly front. It is demeaning to be fiddling what seems like forever with the front of one's trousers while standing in a mens loo full of other blokes who have arrived seemingly in a bunch and eager to take the #iss.
The buttoned trousers arrived courtesy of my daughter-in-law who bought them for my son who instantly rejected them and passed them onto me. He obviously knew a thing or two - just wish he'd told me.
