It's not about succumbing, it's just about different tastes, @Rob L.

Coincidently we had black pudding and scrambled egg for lunch today. It was one we hadn't had before and is highly recommended for those who like a little spiciness.

If you are not so keen on spicy food then the only choice of black pudding is.

I like black pudding, but I can't imagine making it. Why do that?

Black Friday is a complete nonsense outside the US. It's the day after Thanksgiving when the shops are really quiet, hence the need to offer bargains. Quite how that transfers to UK shopping on line beats me
Grrrrr!

Talking of on line shopping. Try these people

I’m immune to the Black Friday nonsense but enjoy black pudding from time to time….

Black Pudding - ok, it’s black - but it’s not “pudding”.

As already mentioned though - a critical component of a “Proper Fry-Up”.

Remaining fair to the age old traditions of the The Fry-Up, let’s not forget the White Pudding..the ying to the yang and all that.

On a white plate, just the two…

Don’t get me started on plum tomatoes and potato scones though - there’s better chance of having world peace and good will amongst all sentient beings on this and all other inhabitable planets than there is on whether you put the tomato sauce on the potato scones or not…

I settled on using dried oats, blitzed in a foot processor

I love black pudding. Of course it's a pudding.

But any chance of me making it dissolved as I don't have the correct equipment and none of the kitchen shops locally could help.

It's not that hard to make. It's not the lack of equipment - none other than a bowl, a set of scales and frying pan are required.

Trust me - I made it many a time, and I honestly never understood the squeamishness of my fellow carnivores to understand where their grub came from.

@OCB

I fear you missed the slight tinge of humour on which my post was built.

I fear you miss the slayed tinge of humerus....

(ah carp - Halloween is finished..)

Anyway, be careful out there when making black pudding, especially on Fridays....
