ISTR reading about a school in the US that teaches it. They specified 500 solo parachute jumps before you could sign up.

It looks pretty amazing, but most of the proximity fliers die.

This sort of thing...

Don suit and just jump om a good day?

Most drop zones do courses.

Different experience levels required. Morning course, lots of exit practise - completely different to normal. Emergency training, how to unzip etc etc.

Start with a small suit, specific routes and exercises, then work up from there.

You will see most of the base jumpers now using wing suits to enhance the duration and safety of the jump.

No need to post, but it doesn't end well...

Have never quite understood the point of leaving a perfectly good aeroplane, this is more like it.

(You don't have to hang around with serious climbers for long to realise that it's only a matter of when, not if, wingsuiting kills you)

Betcha it's a right mess when it goes wrong.

It’s a lot of little splats and scattered pieces according to a friend who recovered most of a body (hit a tree) :|

Just checked, and inevitably one of the two wingsuiters baling into the Porter was killed last November when he and his jetpack became at one with the landscape, age 36. https://www.redbull.com/gb-en/athlete/vincent-reffet

There used to be a video on youtube of a wingsuiter hitting a metal suspension road bridge with an almighty clang.

I think it got taken down pretty smartly as when I looked 24 hours later to copy it to someone it had vanished..............
