Just watched one on the Vulcan and one on the Lightning:

In the latter the 'test pilot' wears a suit and tie under his baggy gro-bag and light tan Oxford Brogues on his feet as he climbs into his cockpit. :roll:

It's got worse. When I was training I used to go in wearing a shirt, smart trousers and smart shoes. The trainees these days wear the same jeans, t-shirts and trainers as the rest of us!

I preferred the idea of the specialist flying clothing worn by Jack Woolams of Bell when testing the P-59. :D
