Veritasium is one of my favourite channels on Youtube, so I saw this at once it came out. I find it fascinating that the physics and maths behind it shouldn't be all that difficult to work out, but yet it is. And extremely counter-intuitive. The best explanation I think was the sailboats on a cylindrical world and how those sails resemble a fan/propeller.

I would think that many forumites are curious about other things in nature and technology than pure aviation. If Veritasium is new to you , you should check him out. He's got a background in science and in science communication and usually explains complicated concepts very well. This odd vehicle sort of stumped him, though.
