One sad thing is that many will have missed the film The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society that ran concurrently on another channel.

If you haven't seen it, it's well worth a watch.

Thats me that is....

My GF has had dibbs on the EvSC for weeks, I believe our conversation went something like :

:study: "You know, there's an interesting film o...."
:naughty: "Have I not been telling you I want to watch the Eurovisi..."
:shifty: "OK, nevermind."

(She was miffed that the Danish 80s throwback group didnt get into the final)

Regards, SD..

I understand the UK as a founding member of the European Broadcasting Union pays a proportion of the costs of staging the event.

Boris keeps using the phrase “not a good use of taxpayers money” and in this case I think it apt.

Happy to continue entering but not paying.

Yes, it is one of the rare examples where both are good.

If you enjoyed TGLAPPPS, then I am guessing that you would also enjoy Their Finest, book and/or film.

Recently on BBC2 and also on Netflix. I really enjoyed it. I’m not sure what I expected, but I suppose in some respects a quintessentially British film and as someone else has said, with the rather lovely Lily James starring...

@Flyingfemme

Glad you enjoyed it.

Now, seek out Their Finest for an equally enjoyable Bank Holiday.

To be fair, anything with Bill Nighy in has to be better than Britain's Got Strictly Masked Celeb Island
