I'm going round in circles and need some help - arguably medical but for now just from the forum.
For the last five years I have driven an old mark 1 TT Roadster with just shy of 150k on the clock. It still starts and runs well but it is getting a bit clunky here and there and so I am thinking of changing it and this is where I need some help.
My budget is up to £14k but probably more comfortable spending nearer £10k or less if I can. We have a brand new 'first' car so I have no need to waste more cash losing loads of money on another car if I can help it. I'm not bothered about the latest reg or whether it's fashionable or not but I do want to have something a bit more enjoyable than a 4 door saloon.
I have looked at CLK and E Class convertibles and SL350s as well as RS configured Audis. My worry with the latter two is that they will end up costing me loads repairing them as they're too complex and prone to age related wear.
I've even considered an old Daihatsu Fourtrak but that's going backwards in age and mileage so not really sensible.
What would the petrol heads of the forum choose given the above criteria?
