Together, Arnold Clark and Seat Cupra have beaten me into submission.
Last night, watching Floodlands (possibly best avoided but at 6/8 of the way through we are committed) I thought "If I see that bloody woman who thinks she's lost her car keys one more time..."
Against all my instincts I opted to pay the £3.99/month and rid myself of ads and bumpers.
So far so good, it has transformed watching the usual noir-fests and shortened the duration of each episode appreciably.
The only downside is you do get the occasional briefish trail within the programme, irritating but nowhere near as bad as watching the repetitive and frequent ad breaks.
Is this the start of the slippery slope? Apart from Prime, which brings other benefits, we have never had a television / film subscription. Is this the gateway drug that will have me pouring money into the Dirty Digger's bank account within months?
