Seriously?

Yet you’ve attended multiple public places (theatre, restaurant venues for certain).

Frankly, I find this admission astonishing, especially with your apparent stance on hands, face, space and so on.

Even with attending work I imagine (actually I’m certain) I have mixed with far fewer people than you, but at least have the security that I’ve taken steps to ensure I am not spreading anything, with the taking of regular tests (which have been freely available for a long time now). Add that to the compulsory testing for work anyway and I’ve lost count as to how many LFTs I’ve used.

Testing hasn’t been required on any of the trips I’ve done so I didn’t do it, just took the standard precautions. It seems that the greater transmissibility of DELTA and the removal of mask wearing strictures has suggested to my medical adviser that occasional testing should be added to my precautions list and so it has been.

I shall also need to test for next trip to Alderney so a bit of practice will be useful

Today (Sunday) at Jet Age, all teens and adults had face coverings, and had complied without prompting, seeming to have anticipated the requirement. Family parties were keeping mutual distance, and using the provided (in several places) hand sanitisers :thumright:

Noting that you arrived in Alderney on 5th July, that the first case was detected on the 16th and that the incubation period is >14 days you must have been very worried that you'd flown it onto the island, hence the sudden desire to take a test.

Maybe hold off going back for a while or at least test beforehand instead of relying on magic masks and your superior homebrew anti-covid system.

You're negative though, which on this occasion is very welcome. :thumright:

Just to put some context on that post, Kanga. My bold.

AIUI only those travelling from the US who have had two vaccinations are affected by that relaxation. Unless others know better?

Gloucestershire County Council urges continuing sensible behaviour even after relaxations of regulations. Parents report children apparently becoming infected after night club visits.
