Suppose there is still a heap of PCR tests that need to be flogged off...

Cynicism is the new realism.

Except France, of course...

I have a funny feeling that this may not end well in Oz. Time will tell.

We were shocked we were at the Chinese locking up whole apartment buildings full of people. Now that the Australian police are doing it there's hardly a murmur.

@skydriller you have a point. More people are finding their backbone.

Az and Pfizer vaccines have the same level of blood clotting and both show less blood clotting than people not vaccinated with either.

UK government coronavirus data looks odd!!

https://news.sky.com/story/covid-19-uks-daily-coronavirus-data-looks-a-bit-fishy-as-major-symptom-study-suggests-cases-on-the-rise-12366866

Talking about the decline in cases in the data released by the Department of Health, Prof Spector said: "It's dropped something like 30% in two days, which is pretty much unheard of in pandemics, and remember this is happening without restrictions, without lockdowns, without some sudden event.

There's certainly a lot going on with numbers ATM, from kids faking positives to get out of school (and adults for work too) to false positive lateral flow tests which are never verified / nullified. The stats have always been wonky but it would be irresponsible to disregard the general trend.

I recall Prof' Spector saying last week that ZOE changed their algorithm because they were starting to show a drop while HMG's stats were rising(ish)? Note that ZOE data is self-reported which includes all those LFTs which we have seen turn out to be 60% false positives on the occasions they are followed up with a PCR test. Being human, they might have looked at HMG's graph, lost confidence in their numbers, jumped the gun and now be feeling a bit, well, y'know. Time will tell.

You've changed your tune in two days.

The misery must never end!!! ;) Come on John, give out some positive vibes and stop kicking the can down the road or you might never get back to lovely Alderney.

What specific blood clotting-related condition are you referring to here?

eltonioni wrote:@TopCat https://www.euronews.com/next/2021/07/2 ... tudy-finds

Yes, and are you aware that venous thromboembolism, referred to in that article, cases of which are lower in vaxxed than in unvaxxed, is not the same as the condition that caused the scares about the AZ vaccine a few months ago?
