I was going to post this earlier this morning, but couldn't find Non-Aviation!

Anyway, 50 years ago today SS Great Britain returned from the Falklands to Bristol. My eldest sibling says I was there, but I don't recall (she does!)

I certainly remember having a guided tour once it was docked & secure & open to the public...probably mid-1970s

I we’ll remember the event and have visited the excellent museum several times.

I can’t remember if we were at the actual arrival event (I would have been 5 years old), but I do recall visiting the ship in dock what must have been not long afterwards.
