I have always been uneasy about the marketing of packs of small shiny often coloured magnets as toys.
You know the sort: dozens of ball/rods which stick together to make sculptures and rotating shapes.

They look just like sweets.

It only takes a small child to swallow more than one and they will stick together across a loop of bowel, causing necrosis of the bowel wall perforation and peritonitis in pretty short order, requiring emergency surgery.

We had some for when our teenage grandson visited, but since the twin grandboys arrived the magnets are now stashed away in the loft.

The warning on the tin they came in is minuscule.

The lack of commute, and the fact that I’m scunnart, meant I had time today to enjoy my garden, my kids playing, I even got 66.67% of them to help get rid of the bamboo that’s returned.

Its the first time in a year I’ve dragged the telescope into the garden. It’s a stunning moon, next to no atmospheric distortion (less pollution?)

Honestly - I could happily have another couple of months of lockdown, as long as I can reduce my professional WFH workload...
