I'm not sure whether this is 'entertainment' or 'wry commentary' on lockdown (and UK society) ..

Most days I try to look at BBC News' summaries of the national UK and Scots daily newspapers, which have images of the front pages of some of them. Recently I'd noticed that on the Financial Times' fronts there is a regular advertisement [GA alert  ] for Lunajets, a corporate air charter service, presumably useful for the well-heeled in minimising travel difficulties in lockdown times; eg:

.. whereas, on the Glasgow Times' fronts, there is a regular advertisement for a local company providing gravesite headstones, possibly currently in high demand in less affluent and therefore more moribund areas:

Similarly, the Telegraph seems to have had a run of ads for a cruise company on its front lately, offering to "Upgrade to Space and Luxury".

Needless to say that taking a cruise (whether upgraded or not) in times of Covid may be a shortcut to requiring a tombstone. Maybe they should team together for a package deal?

AIUI, private charter jets are doing much better than airlines. Top management who previously couldn't convince their employers of the value of private jets over regular CAT now have an extra argument.

Private jets can be a sensitive subject: Volvo and Ericsson earlier co-owned their own little airline called "Blue Chip" that operated Falcon 7X aircraft to fly the top management wherever they wanted to go. It wasn't a secret, but not generally known, either. A while back (pre-Covid), a newspaper published an article about the travel expenses of Ericsson's CEO. A week or two after that, Ericsson sold its share of Blue Chip. According to a spokesperson, that decision was not at all prompted by the publicity. (Sweden tries to portray itself as an egalitarian society--even though it's not--and politicians or captains of industry who take full benefit of their position can be punished hard in the court of public opinion. The Swedish PM still suffers from this after buying a Christmas present for his wife in a shopping centre while at the same time telling everyone to stay at home and postpone non-necessary activities. It became downright funny when a conservative MP berated the PM for this in an interview that, it was later disclosed, was done from her holiday in Spain.)

Alexa, I am feeling that I want to have sex.

Alexa :
Most certainly... Don't worry. I am dimming the lights. Setting your AC to 22 C degrees.

The Viagra is kept on the top right shelf of your wardrobe. The gel is kept next to it.

I have hired your favorite Thai masseuse. She is just 12 minutes away as per her Uber ride status.

I have scheduled her payment from your credit card 2 hours from now.

I have checked your wife's GPS and she is shopping in a suburban mall. According to her buying checklist stored on my disk, she will take at least 2 more hours, plus according to Google maps traffic analysis, more than 1 hour to reach home.

Enjoy your sex. And yes, your condom is in the pull out drawer of the living room and the key to that drawer is in your wallet.

This is the last condom, so I have added condoms to your Amazon cart....

This is called true Artificial Intelligence...

MEANWHILE......

Wife:

Alexa, have you set it up?

Alexa:

Sure thing, he thinks you are going to take three hours. If you take an Uber home, you will be there in 45 minutes. I'm recording the whole thing with four cameras, you just need to walk in, we have the bastard cold.

I've got your divorce papers printed and ready, and your attorney briefed, case documents are drafted and will be completed tomorrow, $1 M. damages plus $10,000 per month alimony.

All set. Your Uber is waiting outside.

Now, this is Artificial Counter Intelligence...
