He appeared from nowhere, lobbed a few grenades and seems to have disappeared as fast as he appeared.

Where’s he gone and was he real or just someone else’s alter ego.

I did smell a whiff of socks, myself.

I still can't get the image of poking the flap switch in a C172 with a broom handle* from outside the aeroplane out of my mind.

Don't worry chaps I am still here. I know its odd but teaching, writing and flying actually takes up most of my time.

Top Cat, why would you need to use a broom handle to operate the flaps on a Cessna 172? A far easier way would be to open the door, lean in and operate the lever with your hand, you don't need to wear white socks to work that out, surely?
